There is nothing wrong with you for having an ego.

Its job is protection.

  • Looks for what is wrong
  • Focuses on mistakes
  • Stays in scarcity
  • Feels like a victim

It is trying to keep you safe by staying in what is familiar… even if that familiar place is painful.


🌿 WHY THIS HAPPENS

Your ego was formed in survival.

It learned from your past experiences and built patterns to avoid pain.

But it does not understand growth.

It only understands familiarity.

So if you grew up in chaos, your body may feel normal in chaos.
If you experienced inconsistency, you may expect it.
If you were criticized, you may look for what is wrong.
If you were abandoned, closeness may feel unsafe.

So when something healthy shows up, your system may reject it.

Not because it is wrong…

But because it is unfamiliar.

You may feel:

  • “This is too good to be true”
  • “Something is off”
  • “I need to protect myself”

And without awareness, you may:

  • Push people away
  • Overthink everything
  • Create problems where there are none
  • Return to old patterns

Not because you want pain…

But because your body is trying to return to what it knows.
