🌿✨ THE COINCIDENCE THAT MADE ME SMILE ✨🌿

The other day, I noticed something that made me stop and smile. 😊 It wasn't something I had planned, and it certainly wasn't something I chose on purpose. It simply revealed itself one day as I looked at my brand. The initials of THE HEALING CHEFF are THC. 🍃

Like many people, my first thought was, "Well... that's interesting." 😄

Most people immediately recognize those three letters because they are commonly associated with cannabis. While I understand that connection, that isn't what my brand has ever represented. The more I thought about it, the more I realized those initials had come to represent something entirely different in my life. They represent the work I have been called to do, the woman I have become, and the lives I hope to touch through service, recovery, faith, food, and love. ❤️🙏

For nearly two decades, I have been feeding people through Nana's Tamales. 🫔 What began as a way to support my family eventually became something much bigger. I wasn't simply serving meals. I was creating memories around dinner tables, celebrating birthdays, comforting families during times of loss, and bringing people together through food. Looking back now, I realize I wasn't just feeding stomachs.

I was feeding hearts. ❤️

Then recovery entered my life. 🌅

Recovery taught me that people don't only hunger for food. They hunger for hope. 🌻 They hunger for connection. 🤝 They hunger to be seen, heard, understood, and loved. 💛 They hunger to believe that no matter what they've done or where they've been, healing is still possible.

That realization changed everything.

Today, when I think about THE HEALING CHEFF, I no longer think of someone who simply cooks. 👩🏻‍🍳 I think of someone whose purpose is to help nourish the whole person.

✨ The body.

🧠 The mind.

❤️ The heart.

🙏 The spirit.

That is what healing has come to mean for me.

Whether I'm sponsoring a woman in recovery, listening to someone who's grieving, writing an article that encourages another human being, speaking at a conference, preparing a meal, or simply picking up trash while walking through my neighborhood... I am participating in healing. 🌎 Every small act of kindness, every conversation, every shared experience is an opportunity to leave someone, or someplace, just a little better than I found it. 🌿

As I've continued reconnecting with my Native roots and deepening my relationship with my Creator, my understanding of healing has expanded even more. Healing isn't only about recovering from addiction. It is about learning to live in harmony with ourselves, with others, with creation, and with the One who created it all. 🌄 It is about respecting Mother Earth. 🌎 Practicing gratitude. 🙏 Serving our communities. 🤲 And remembering that every gift we've been given comes with the responsibility to care for it.

So perhaps those initials are a coincidence.

Or perhaps they became an invitation for me to define them differently. ✨

When I see THC, this is what I see...

🌿 TRUTH because healing always begins with honesty.

❤️ HEALING because no one is beyond redemption, growth, or transformation.

🤝 COMPASSION because every human being deserves dignity, grace, kindness, and love.

Those three words have become the foundation of my life and the mission behind THE HEALING CHEFF.

I don't want people to remember me simply because I made great tamales. 🫔

I want them to remember how they felt after spending time with me. 💛

I want them to remember that someone believed in them when they couldn't believe in themselves. 🌻

I want them to remember they were reminded of their worth. ✨

I want them to remember they were encouraged to keep going, even when life felt impossible. 💪

If that is what people think of when they hear THE HEALING CHEFF, then I know I have lived my purpose.

Because healing isn't something we own.

Healing is something we freely give away. 🌿❤️

And somehow, the initials THC have come to remind me of exactly that. They no longer represent what the world first assumes.

To me...

THC means...

🌿 TRUTH.

❤️ HEALING.

🤝 COMPASSION.

And those are three things our world could always use a little more of. ✨🌎
