β¨ SOFT MORNINGS. STRONG WOMEN. β¨
Lately I've been thinking about what it truly means to be a strong woman.
Not the version the world often teaches us.
Not the woman who never needs anyone.
Not the woman who carries every burden alone.
Not the woman who has become so hardened by life that she no longer allows herself to feel.
I'm talking about the kind of strength that allows a woman to remain soft.
Because there is a difference.
Life has taught many of us to become warriors.
β€οΈ Heartbreak.
π Loss.
π Recovery.
π Betrayal.
πͺ Abandonment.
π Divorce.
π΅ Financial struggles.
π©π§π¦ Single motherhood.
π©Ή Trauma.
Many of us learned how to fight because we had to.
And while I am grateful for the strength God has given me, I don't want to spend the rest of my life fighting everything and everyone.
I want peace.
I want softness.
I want to wake up slowly with coffee in my hands, sunshine on my face, flowers on the table, and gratitude in my heart. βπΈβοΈ
I want a life that feels safe enough for my nervous system to finally exhale.
Because contrary to what some people believe, being a strong woman doesn't mean becoming hard.
In fact, I think real strength is staying soft after life has given you every reason not to.
β¨ It's choosing kindness when bitterness would be easier.
β¨ It's choosing faith when fear is screaming.
β¨ It's choosing love after disappointment.
β¨ It's choosing vulnerability after being hurt.
β¨ It's choosing to keep your heart open.
That takes courage.
And no, I am not anti-man.
Not even a little.
I respect men. β€οΈ
In fact, I know God created men and women to complement one another.
π¦ Different gifts.
πͺ Different strengths.
π€ Different roles.
I know how strong I can be.
I've proven that.
β¨ I've raised 7 children.
β¨ Built businesses.
β¨ Buried loved ones.
β¨ Started over.
β¨ Stayed sober.
β¨ Carried burdens I never thought I could carry.
But I also know that part of remaining soft is not having to carry everything alone forever.
There is something beautiful about healthy masculine energy.
A good man doesn't make a woman weak.
He helps create the safety that allows her softness to flourish.
Just as a healthy woman brings warmth, compassion, encouragement, beauty, and nurturing into a relationship.
Neither is better.
They are different.
And different doesn't mean less.
It means necessary.
The strongest women I know are not trying to compete with men.
They're trying to become the healthiest version of themselves.
π± They're healing.
πΈ Growing.
π Learning.
π Surrendering.
β¨ Trusting God.
π‘ Creating peaceful homes.
β€οΈ Building meaningful lives.
π€ Loving deeply.
And becoming women who are both soft and strong.
The world often tells women we have to choose.
Be soft or be powerful.
Be feminine or be successful.
Be nurturing or be respected.
I don't believe that.
I believe we can be both.
β€οΈ Women who lead and women who love.
β€οΈ Women who build businesses and build families.
β€οΈ Women who carry wisdom and compassion.
β€οΈ Women who pray and take action.
β€οΈ Women who cry and keep going.
β€οΈ Women who are gentle and resilient.
β€οΈ Women who sit with coffee at sunrise and still conquer mountains.
Maybe that's what a soft morning and a strong woman really looks like.
Not perfection.
Not independence.
Not proving anything.
Just a woman at peace with who God created her to be.
Soft enough to love.
Strong enough to endure.
Wise enough to know the difference.
π And as Father's Day approaches, I find myself feeling grateful for the good men in this world.
π The fathers who show up.
π οΈ The men who work hard and carry responsibilities that often go unseen.
π The men who lead with integrity.
β€οΈ The men who love well.
π€ The men who protect, provide, encourage, and support.
I know not everyone has had a healthy experience with men, and I understand that life can leave wounds.
But healing has taught me something important:
β¨ We can acknowledge the hurt without ignoring the good.
Today I choose gratitude.
I am grateful for the fathers who stayed.
I am grateful for the men who are consistent and disciplined.
I am grateful for the fathers who tried.
I am grateful for the grandfathers, brothers, sons, mentors, pastors, sponsors, husbands, and friends who continue showing up every day despite carrying burdens of their own.
God created men and women differently, yet beautifully.
Not to compete with one another.
Not to diminish one another.
But to complement one another.
And for that, I am grateful. β€οΈ
So this Father's Day, I want to honor the good men.
The steady men.
The consistent men.
The honorable men.
The dependable men.
The men who make it easier for women to remain soft while still being strong.
Thank you.
You matter more than you know. π
βοΈ Soft Mornings.
πΈ Strong Women.
π€ Good Men.
π A Good God.
With Love,
