WHEN TWO PEOPLE HAVE DONE THE WORK ✨🌿

There is something deeply magnetic about meeting someone who has lived a full life, walked through hardship, and remained committed to their recovery and healing. You can feel it before they even finish speaking. Their words carry weight because they have been earned. There is a quiet confidence, a humility, and a peace that cannot be faked. They don't need to convince anyone of who they are. Their life speaks for itself.

There is something even more attractive about meeting someone who also knows where they come from. Someone who has taken the time to learn their ancestry, honor their roots, and understand the shoulders they stand upon. A person who knows their story often walks with a different kind of confidence. They carry not only their own wisdom, but the resilience, traditions, and lessons of the generations that came before them. Knowing our roots gives us a deeper understanding of who we are and where we belong.

As a strong woman, I know what it feels like to carry responsibilities I was never meant to carry. Like so many women, I learned to lead because I had to. I learned to protect, provide, solve problems, and stay in control because there wasn't always someone beside me who was willing or able to do those things.

That isn't bitterness. It is simply my experience.

But if I'm honest, it was never the role I truly wanted.

Deep down, I have always desired to be able to soften. To be tender. To trust. To receive. To feel safe enough to let someone else lead with integrity, wisdom, and love. Strength and femininity are not opposites. A woman can be incredibly strong and still long for the safety that allows her heart to rest.

Today I understand both my strengths and my weaknesses. Recovery has taught me self awareness. It has taught me that healing isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming honest.

Recently I learned something called P.I.E.S.

💪🏼 Physical
🧠 Intellectual
❤️ Emotional
🙏🏼 Spiritual

The idea is simple yet profound.

Many relationships connect in only one or two of these areas. Some people have physical chemistry but cannot communicate. Others connect intellectually but never become emotionally safe. Some share spiritual beliefs yet never build emotional intimacy.

But when two people have done their own healing... when they connect physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually... something extraordinary happens.

That kind of connection cannot be manufactured.

It is built through years of growth, humility, accountability, and choosing healing over hiding.

I believe that when a healed man who knows who he is, where he comes from, and what he stands for meets a healed woman who has done the same, each secure in their identity and each committed to serving something greater than themselves, their relationship becomes more than companionship.

It becomes a partnership.

It becomes purpose.

It becomes a place where both people continue growing while helping others grow too.

To me...

That is magic. ✨
