🌸 MEN LOVE FLOWERS, TOO 💐

While I was attending the multicultural conference for CCAPP, one of the speakers said something so simple, yet it stayed with me.

"Men love flowers." 🌼

I couldn't stop thinking about it.

So I turned to the gentleman sitting at my table and asked him with genuine curiosity...

💬 "Do you like flowers?"

He looked at me with the sweetest eyes... almost like a little boy whose heart had just been seen.

He smiled and softly said,

🌸 "Yes, I do."

In that moment, I wasn't just hearing his words.

I felt his soul.

It was one of those rare moments where no explanation was needed. It was simply the language of the heart. ❤️

And I realized something that made me a little sad. 😔

I had never asked a man that question before.

Not once.

Why? 🤔

Somewhere along the way I had unconsciously accepted ideas that I never stopped to question.

💪 That men are supposed to be tough.

🌱 That vulnerability is weakness.

🌷 That tenderness belongs to women.

💐 That flowers are only for women.

🌊 That men should hide their emotions.

🌟 That a "real man" doesn't need affection.

But none of those beliefs are true. 

❤️ Men bleed when they're cut. Just like a woman does.

💔 Men grieve.

😢 Men cry.

💕 Men carry heartbreak.

🌻 Men long to be appreciated.

💖 Men want to feel chosen, seen, and loved.

Some men feel so deeply that it takes my breath away.

Yet so many have been taught to hide it because the world told them that softness wasn't masculine. 🌹

What if we've been getting it wrong all along? ✨

What if the strongest men are the ones brave enough to receive kindness without shame? 🍃

What if giving a man flowers isn't about the flowers at all...

What if it's saying...

🌸 "I see your heart." ❤️

Today, I'd love to give flowers to every man who has never received them. 💐

Not because they're weak...

Because they're human. 

Every person deserves to know they are loved, appreciated, and worthy of beauty. 🌼

Maybe healing begins the moment we stop believing the old stories we've inherited and start seeing one another through the eyes of compassion. 🌍❤️

🌸 Today, I'm grateful I asked one simple question.

It changed something inside of me. ✨
